A&R where the primary supplier of transformers to the Goldentone Amplifier Company. They where originally established in St.Kilda Road, Melbourne but in the 60's relocated to a bigger facility on Lexton Rd in Box Hill, in the rapidly growing suburbs of Melbourne's south east. In 1973, under new ownership they moved all manufacturing offshore and became Arlec. The very same Arlec who's powerboard's, light fittings, ceiling fans and exhaust fans you see in bunnings to this day!
